From this CT B&B, take a historic walking tour of the Liberty Green & Main Street Historic Districts, stopping at the Stanton House Museum the Clinton Historical Society Museum ("Old Brick"), The Buell Tool Museum & the Clinton Town Hall Historical Room for lessons on local history, dating back to 1663. Continue a few blocks to the antique shops, boutiques & art galleries; see pottery at Caballos Del Mar Ceramic Studio and enjoy a delicious lunch at Sarba’s Fine Art Café, the historic Major General Wright Homestead.  Walk to the beautiful town beach at sunset time; at low tide take a long leisurely walk on the sandbars. Evenings, walk to a concert on the green or to a show at the Nutmeg Players Theater at the architecturally significant Clinton Town Hall. Dine at one of the many excellent area restaurants.

The next day, tour and tastings at Chamard Vineyards.  Then, go bargain hunting at Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets and Tanger Outlet Center. If it’s Thursday, take in a concert at the Vece Gazebo and on Friday, the farmers market at Clinton Landing, and on Sundays don’t miss the 2 popular flea markets here. We are 1/2 mile from a canoe/kayak rental launch site. You can also rent bikes at Action Sports.   If you play music, the Clinton Music Center offers the shorline's best instrument selection.  Lots of stuff to do at Cedar Island Marina!

Take a horse & carriage ride or sleigh ride in the country. Tour Gillette Castle State Park, Hammonassett Beach State Park & Meigs Point Nature Center with 2 miles of sandy beach & 900 acres of nature trails, ride the Essex Steam Train & Riverboat, enjoy a sunset cruise or sightseeing cruise or Bluefin Sportfishing Charters on Long Island Sound or up the Connecticut River, a fishing excursion or enjoy one of Clinton’s beautiful nature trails.  Enjoy an historic trolley ride at the Shore Line Trolley Museum, an important part of the community since its incorporation in 1945 as the Branford Electric Railway Association.   There are 12 old house museums to choose from within 15 minutes. Visit the charming New England Main Street villages of Madison, Essex, Old Saybrook, Chester, East Haddam, & Deep River. Mystic Seaport, Mystic Attractions, Stonington Borough, Foxwoods & Mohegan Sun Casinos are an easy 30-40 min. ride. You can see a movie at our local cinema, or enjoy a quiet read in the beautiful reading garden of our town library.

For an agricultural adventure, try visiting one of our local orchards or family farms for the fine tradition of growing and selling the finest quality native New England fruits and vegetables, along with weekend hayrides to pick-your-own blueberries, apples, peaches, pears and pumpkins, pie garden, country store, picnic area, holiday treasures. Check out Bishop's Orchard family farm in Guilford, Hickory Hill Orchards in Cheshire and many other area farms.

Enjoy the New Clinton Landing as part of the Downtown Revitalization Project!

Memorial Day Parade, Antique Auction in June, Summer Concerts on the Green every Thursday night. In July & August, an Annual Arts & Craft Fair on the Vece Green, the Art Society Annual Show, the 2010 36th Annual Bluefish Festival, the Congregational Church Fair, and live theater at the Town Hall Stage all season long. There is a Library Gala in September and lantern-lit Ghost Walks along historic Main Street that stop at houses still inhabited by ghosts!  In December, "Christmas in Clinton" celebrations include historic house tours, a bazaar, caroling, strolling, a Christmas tree decorating contest, town tree lighting, hayrides and more.
